How to make videos for a faceless YouTube channel with AI
Script, footage, voice and edit for a channel where you never appear on camera.
A faceless channel publishes videos without the creator on camera: narration over footage, explainers, stories, compilations. AI makes the footage and the voice, so the whole video can be made from a script.
1. Pick a format you can repeat
Faceless channels grow on consistency. Choose a format you can make every week, such as a story told over cinematic shots, a fact explainer or a "top five". Decide the shape too: 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Shorts and TikTok.
2. Write the script, then the shot list
Write the narration first, then split it into shots, one shot for every sentence or two. Director can turn a topic into a shot list for you, which you can then edit.
3. Generate the footage
Generate each shot with the model that suits it (see how to make AI videos). Keep the style consistent across the video: reuse the same style words, and use reference pictures or a saved character if someone recurs.
4. Add the voice and music
Turn the script into a voiceover with the AI voice generator: choose a voice and language, or clone your own voice with your consent. Add background music and sound effects from the audio studio.
5. Edit and export
Cut the shots to the narration on Director's timeline, add titles and transitions, and export one finished file, ready to upload.
Keep it original
Platforms reward channels that add something of their own. Write your own scripts, avoid reposting other people's content, and label AI-generated content where the platform asks you to.
